EIBA-IBR Paper Development WorkshopCALL FOR PAPERS EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop 10th Atlas AFMI Annual Conference - IAE Poitiers, University of Poitiers, France - 18 May 2020 Submission deadline: 10 March 2020
Atlas AFMI (Association Francophone de Management International) is organizing an EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop at the 10th Atlas AFMI Annual Conference, IAE Poitiers, University of Poitiers, France, 18-20 May 2020. The European International Business Academy (EIBA) aims to serve as a core network in the field of international business. Membership is open to individuals from Europe and elsewhere. EIBA attracts about 500 members from over 50 countries representing all five continents. International Business Review (IBR) is one of the leading journals in the field of international business (ranked 2 by FNEGE in France) and the official journal of EIBA. The purpose of the EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop is to provide doctoral students and scholars with developmental feedback on their current research projects in international business studies. While we hope that many of these papers will be eventually submitted to IBR, the purpose of the PDW is broader: to improve the quality of IB research and bring new scholars into the IB field. We invite original papers from authors who have not previously published in International Business Review. The EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop will begin with an introduction by Pervez Ghauri, Editor-in-Chief of IBR. The participants will then be divided into two groups, and feedback on each paper will be provided by two of the following panelists: Pervez Ghauri (Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham), Ulrike Mayrhofer (IAE Nice Graduate School of Management, Université Côte d’Azur), Roger Strange (University of Sussex), Antonella Zucchella (University of Pavia). The panelists will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each paper, with the aim of providing robust yet constructive feedback to the authors so that they can improve their papers to the standard required for IBR publication. The EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop will be held between 2 and 5 p.m. on Monday, 18 May 2020 at the conference venue (IAE Poitiers, University of Poitiers). Prospective participants in the EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop are invited to submit their paper on the Atlas AFMI conference platform (https://atlasafmi2020.sciencesconf.org/) by 10 March 2020. Please note that each applicant may make only one submission, but may also have submitted the same (or another) version of the paper for presentation at the Atlas AFMI Conference. Papers must be written in English and have less than 10,000 words, and should follow the IBR Guide for Authors (https://www.elsevier.com/journals/international-business-review/0969-5931/guide-for-authors). Papers submitted for the EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop will be selected based on their scientific quality, and authors will be notified about the acceptance of their submissions no later than 31 March 2020. Participants will be required to confirm their participation by 10 April 2020, and they will then be invited to submit a revised manuscript (i.e. the version to be discussed at the EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop) by 20 April 2020 on the Atlas AFMI conference platform (https://atlasafmi2020.sciencesconf.org/). NOTE: Participants must be registered for the 10th Atlas AFMI Annual Conference before they confirm their attendance at the EIBA-IBR Paper Development Workshop.
